Importing Previously Developed Source Files into a New Project

  1. In the Project Name text field, enter the name of the project.
  2. In the Sources Folder field, specify the folder from where you want to import the source files.
    Note: If you are going to run the project on a local web server, do not forget to specify copying the source files to it.
  3. From the Default Encoding dropdown list, choose the default encoding for your project.
  4. To store the project internal files separately from the source files, select the Put NetBeans metadata into a separate directory checkbox. In the Metadata Folder text field, specify the folder where you want to create a subfolder for storing the internal files for your project. Use the Browse button if necessary.
  5. Click Next. The Run Configuration panel opens.
