Changing the Default Web Browser
See Also
The IDE uses the specified default web browser to display web pages and run
web applications. In the Options window you can choose any one of the supported browsers, such
as the supported versions of Mozilla and Internet Explorer. In addition, you can also configure
the IDE to use other browser types.
- Choose Tools > Options from the main menu and click General in the left pane of the Options window.
- Select a browser from the Web Browser drop-down list.
- If you select a web browser and the web browser fails to open, confirm that
the correct path to the browser executable is set. To modify the path to
the executable, click the Edit button
that is next to the Web Browser drop-down list.
Troubleshooting
If you get "file not found" errors when you execute a web application,
see Accessing
Local Files Through a Proxy for possible solutions.
- If the browser does not reflect changes in a JSP file or HTML file, this
might be due to the way the browser caches pages. Check the browser's settings
to ensure that the browser is set to reload pages each time you access them.
